Breaks, industrial, experimental techno and even POP music. This track selection, made by VSK, contains tracks that gave him goosebumps, that have inspired him, that he made himself and where he’s proud of, or stand out for any other reason. This includes all-times favourites, new releases, own releases and personal favourites.
Since Francesco (VSK) is a big fan of Billie Eilish and Thom Yorke, he’s put one track of both artists in this list as a kind of provocation. Read more about this below and listen to the track selection in our Spotify playlist ‘Intercell Selects’ here.
“This selection is a list filled with my favourite tracks of the last years and shows what music means for me nowadays. Experimentation, hard work and great attention to detail, personally, are the elements that bring something new to the music. It triggers innovation. Something that goes beyond what was already done in the past.”
“2019 was a good year for producing electronic music. But what I’m noticing is, that in the last couple of years a lot of more “Pop artists” and their fans consequently are paying more attention to these things (experimentation, hard work & attention to detail) than the electronic music producers and followers. Artists such as James Blake, Billie Eilish, Apparat and Nils Frahm are really delivering something new to present-day music that was missing in their genres before. This causes them to make huge differences.”
